Tinnitus Evaluations:
It is often necessary for patients who have tinnitus (i.e., ringing in the ears) to undergo a comprehensive tinnitus evaluation that includes pitch matching, loudness matching, loudness discomfort levels, and residual inhibition. The information obtained from the tinnitus and comprehensive hearing evaluations lends perspective about the most appropriate treatment options for the patient. In the past, many patients have been told there is nothing that can be done about the ringing in their ears, but there is a new treatment that is non-invasive and has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Cornerstone Audiology is proud to offer this as part of our provided services. Visit www.neuromonics.com for more information. |
