Marisha Beck received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences as well as her Doctorate of Audiology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Beck was identified with hearing loss when she was 3 years old, which peaked her interest in the field of Audiology. Dr. Beck also wears hearing aids and personally understands the struggles of coping with hearing loss. She is an advocate for people with hearing loss.

Dr. Beck worked for Cornerstone Audiology during her 4th year externship and upon graduation for 3+ years. She decided to pursue a career with the Veterans Affairs (VA) moving her family first to El Paso and then to Big Spring. During her more than 6 years with the VA, Dr. Beck not only gained experience in working with all the major hearing aid manufacturers, but she worked with thousands of veterans in developing management plans to help cope with tinnitus disturbance.

Through her experience with the VA, Dr. Beck has extensive experience in working with patients with multiple medical diagnoses in addition to hearing loss and tinnitus to include traumatic brain injury, high risk suicide, Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, etc.

She has attended multiple tinnitus seminars and has even passed this information on to up and coming audiologists with presentations to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Audiology Program. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is married to Jason and has 2 girls, Peyton (10) and Brooklyn (8). They enjoy being involved their daughters’ extracurricular activities, church, and traveling to baseball stadiums across the United States.
